21st Fifties Fair sparkling success

On Sunday 21st August 2016, more than 2000 Fifties fans came to Rose Seidler House to celebrate 21 years of the Fifties Fair.

Wearing their very best vintage threads, with fabulous hairstyles to match, the delightful crowd danced the afternoon away to Queensland rockers The Hi-Boys, local band That Redhead and DJs Limpin’ Jimmy and Singin’ Kitten.

Special guest judges Lorraine Foster, owner of The Vintage Clothing Shop, and author Tara Moss were on hand to judge the stunning fashions, with Miss Polly Polka-Dot taking out the female best-dressed  and Ross Pitman named our best-dressed male. Tara Moss’ hand-picked best-dressed went to couple Sybil Edwards and Nick Papageorgiou.

The much-admired classic cars on display looked better than ever in the beautiful sunshine, while Harry Seidler’s modernist masterpiece Rose Seidler House had no shortage of fans taking a peek throughout the day, and the selection of fine vintage wares made it difficult to walk away from Fifties Fair empty-handed.

Thanks to everyone for coming along and making it another truly fabulous day!
