Members will have the opportunity to hear Michael Lech, curator at Sydney Living Museums, discuss how the architectural objects on display at the Museum Discovery Centre were rescued from various historic Sydney homes and now help tell the story of the rise of the conservation movement in Sydney and the beginnings of the Historic Houses Trust.
Following the talk and tour, members can explore the Museums Discovery Centre at their leisure, which holds many treasures from the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences and the Australian Museum. We suggest you allow approximately one hour to browse the collection.
Morning tea will be provided.
