Gangs: subcultures of the street 1880-1996

Gangs explored the psychology, paraphernalia and social history behind gang formation in Australia.

Starting with 19th century larrikins and offering profiles of the 1930s razor gangs, the 1950s bodgies, as well as contemporary biker gangs and homeboys, the exhibition provided an in depth examination of gang structures and their associated sub-cultures.
