Starkers: photographs by Andrew Stark

This prolific yet little known street photographer has spent more than 20 years traipsing across Sydney with his unobtrusive second-hand SLR camera, capturing moments of poetry and candour from unsuspecting faces in the street. Stark describes his work as an open ended visual diary of place, time and the people he encounters.

He is drawn in by the emotions of his subjects - a fleeting look of vulnerability, a spontaneous burst of joy, or the blank stare of melancholy.
