The Mint

A city oasis where history and heritage meet contemporary design

Situated in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, The Mint with its striking architecture, flexible, award-winning event spaces and integrated AV is a versatile and inspiring venue choice for all your business events.

The Mint’s beautiful building dates back to 1811. It was originally part of the colony’s first permanent hospital, known as the Rum Hospital because it was financed by a monopoly on rum imports. Because of its prominent location, the building has been used for a variety of purposes over the years, including as a branch of Britain’s Royal Mint, as a law court, a military hospital and even an artist’s studio!  The redevelopment and refurbishment of the site won the Sir John Sulman Medal for Outstanding Public Architecture.

The Mint’s event spaces and rich trading history make it a versatile and inspiring venue choice for all your business events. Offering a range of unique multifunctional spaces for a diverse range of event experiences, The Mint comes complete with superb catering options and dedicated Venue and Audiovisual teams to provide you with a complete solution for your conferences, meetings, dinners, product launches, workshops, cocktail receptions and media calls.

Crossing the threshold of The Mint’s impressive entrance transports your guests away from the commotion of city life into an oasis of elegance complemented by outstanding venue facilities. The Mint’s rich historical significance adds atmosphere and ambience to every event, creating a great experience for your guests.
