Iconic Australian Houses exhibition launches

Last night we launched the fabulous Iconic Australian Houses exhibition and our new Home and Architecture program at the Museum of Sydney.

A large crowd look on at SLM director Mark Goggin speaking in the foyer of the Museum of Sydney foyer.

Sydney Living Museums director Mark Goggin addresses the large crowd at the launch last night.

Amongst the great turn out for the event were some of Australia's most respected architects such as Glenn Murcutt, Enrico Taglietti, Russell Jack, Peter Muller, Camilla Block and Penelope Seidler AM - who also gave the opening speech.

"It was a great night and the perfect way to launch not just this beautiful exhibition but also our exciting home and architecture program that brings together some amazing talks, tours and exhibitions we'll be rolling out over the coming months" said Assistant Director Dr. Caroline Butler-Bowdon. More information on Sydney Living Museums Home and Architecture program can be found here.

Iconic Australian Houses exhibition was developed in partnership with Architecture Foundation Australia.
