Creative explosion: Elizabeth Bay House Instameet
Around 100 Instagrammers met at the house to collaborate and take photographs to share their pictures with the world.
It was fantastic to see how such a diverse group of creative people individually and collectively brought a new perspective to the way one looks at and interacts with the house.
The house was bathed in beautiful sunlight which didn’t go unappreciated by the Instagrammers snapping away - using sun rays as natural spotlights for portraits and backlighting. Props, such as masks and magnifying glasses, were also used to bring a magical element to the photographs being taken in the house.
The event took place during World Wide Instameet Weekend where Instagram communities across the world come together to meet up in person and celebrate creativity. The theme for the weekend was ‘Life On Earth’, which was quite fitting considering the venue for the Sydney meet-up was at Elizabeth Bay House with its links to natural history.
A big thanks to @SydneyFolk and @IgersSydney for collaborating with us on such a great event and to all the Instagrammers for sharing our magnificent Elizabeth Bay House with their followers.
