Conservation in action

On Tuesday 23 October the SLM Foundation hosted a special behind-the-scenes talk for donors on the restoration work happening at Vaucluse House to preserve the colonial segmented arched courtyard gateway.

The talk was presented by SLM's Head of Heritage, Michael Ellis, Heritage Project Officer, Maria Elena Ruggeri, and Assistant Curator, House Museums Portfolio East, Melissa Flyte, and Master Stonemason James Gardner. Donors heard about the complexities of working with heritage buildings and the challenges with the stonework.

A private tour of Vaucluse House followed and donors enjoyed refreshments on the verandah with a view of the stunning garden. It was a great opportunity to see how donor funds assist with important heritage conservation work.

We welcome your support to ensure our heritage sites are protected for current and future generations. With over 600 heritage projects being undertaken, your support makes a difference. If you would like to donate please use the link below.
