Museum Volunteer opportunity: Rouse Hill House & Farm

Do you love interacting with people? Have you got a passion for museums and a desire to help share our historic places with the public?

Then this may be the volunteer role for you.

At Sydney Living Museums we're passionate about bringing our museums to life. We’re looking for Museum Volunteers to join our team at Rouse Hill House & Farm and play a role in providing memorable experiences for our visitors.

Filled with an assortment of belongings and treasures, Rouse Hill House & Farm chronicles the changing fortunes of six generations of one family. Looking out over the paddocks, with its grand stables, prize horses, and elegant summerhouse, Rouse Hill House was once the social hub of the area. Through the good times and the bad, each generation has added another layer of memories, and today, every object and addition, every tear, stain and repair has a story to tell.

Museum Volunteers at Rouse Hill House & Farm engage visitors by sharing the rich stories of the property through formal, timed guided tours and informal conversations. Museum Volunteers are ambassadors for Sydney Living Museums, letting visitors know how they can get the most out of their visit.
