Teachers and students to experience new Hyde Park Barracks

Students and teachers can discover the history of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Hyde Park Barracks like never before after undergoing its major renewal.

Teachers are invited to register for an exclusive FREE learning event (now booked out) taking place on 5 March to discover first-hand the new Hyde Park Barracks and learn more about our exciting learning offer.

Primary classes can take part in a FREE virtual excursion, streamed live from Hyde Park Barracks on 24 March, to learn about and make convict love tokens with Sydney Living  Museums curator Fiona Starr.

We are also thrilled to provide four new excursions. Stage 2, 3 and 4 class groups can discover the history of this significant site through its brand-new immersive exhibition spaces and rich curriculum-linked excursions that reveal the experiences of convicts, immigrants and Aboriginal people during the colonial period.

Are you a teacher? Sign up to our eNews to receive a free double pass to visit any one of our museums and stay up to date with our Learning offer.
