Sydney Living Museums is delighted to announce that we are reopening some of our museums and historic houses from Monday 11 October, with the safety and wellbeing of visitors and staff our main priority.

From 11 October – The Mint will open Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 5pm.

From 20 October – Caroline Simpson Library & Research Collection will open Wednesday to Friday, 10am to 4pm. Bookings essential.

From 21 October – the Hyde Park Barracks and the Museum of Sydney will open Thursday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm. Vaucluse House will open Thursday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm. 

From 22 October – Elizabeth Farm will open Friday and Saturday, 10am to 4pm.

From 23 October – Meroogal will open every Saturday, 10am to 4pm.

From 24 October – Rose Seidler House will open every Sunday, 10am to 4pm.

Please note that Elizabeth Bay House, the Justice & Police Museum, Rouse Hill Estate and Susannah Place will remain temporarily closed. 

Important conditions of entry

In line with NSW Public Health Orders, all visitors must provide evidence as requested to confirm compliance with vaccination requirements (including contraindication certificates). 

While inside our museums and historic houses, all visitors over 12 years must wear a mask at all times. Please also ensure that you maintain a safe distance from other visitors and staff.

All visitors are strongly encouraged to check our full conditions of entry before visiting one of our historic houses or museums.
