70th Anniversary tour of Rose Seidler House with Penelope Seidler

On Saturday 5 December 2020, Sydney Living Museums celebrate the 70th anniversary of the iconic Rose Seidler House.

Designed for his parents, Rose and Max Seidler, Rose Seidler House was Harry Seidler’s first commission in Australia. A house that overturned almost every convention of suburban house design, it is an authentic representation of Harry’s early vision for Australian architecture.

To mark this significant milestone, Penelope Seidler AM, will lead an intimate tour of Rose Seidler House, finishing with a walk past the Julian Rose House. It will be a rare opportunity for guests to experience one of the finest examples of mid-20th century modern domestic architecture in Australia through the eyes of Harry Seidler’s collaborator of 50 years.
