Join Colonial Gastronomer Jacqui Newling in the colonial kitchen at Vaucluse House to prepare Mrs Beeton’s Christmas pudding recipe from 1861.

Take home your individual-sized pudding in a traditional pudding bowl.

During the program you will:

  • Take a guided tour of the house with our colonial gastronomer
  • Hear a talk by our colonial gastronomer
  • Take part in a  pudding workshop in the colonial kitchen

The Colonial Gastronomy series revives the practices and produce once used in the colonial kitchens, cellars, dining rooms and kitchen gardens of our colonial properties.
