A hallmark of modernism is the integration of all aspects of design from the exterior to the interior and the way that design aesthetic was translated into items for everyday living.

Join the Moderns: European Designers in Sydney exhibition curator Rebecca Hawcroft, as she presents an expert panel discussion revealing the people, processes and practices of the furniture makers and designers whose work was instrumental in defining the modernist aesthetic in Australia from often anonymous cabinetmakers to known designers and retail outlets.

Speakers include 20th Century Fine and Decorative Arts auctioneer Andrew Shapiro, Jeromie Maver; researcher and collector of mid-century design and Catriona Quinn; curator and design historian.
