NAIDOC: because of her, we can!
Join us at the start of the day with a Welcome to Country by Leanne Watson and Rhiannon Wright and a Smoking Ceremony by Nulungu Dreaming. Then help raise the Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Australian flags to open the event.
Take part in a range of family-friendly activities throughout the day:
- Listen to performances by award-winning poet, singer and dancer Gumaroy Newman.
- Try your hand at the ancient art of boomerang throwing and paint one to take home.
- Participate in one of our popular Darug language works held in the unique setting of the 1888 Rouse Hill school house.
- Step inside the historic homestead on one of our house tours.
Food will be available on the day from Mad Mob and the Muru Mittigar Café.
