Welcome to our Virtual Family Fair!

These winter school holidays, we’re bringing our beloved annual Family Fair to you, with on-demand videos and activities to enjoy at home!

Join our host Justine Clarke for crafts, cooking, virtual farm tours and more, all inspired by the historic Rouse Hill Estate.

Indigenous connections

Meet Dave, our Visitor Services Coordinator, who’ll share some of the history of Rouse Hill Estate, located on Darug Country, and its ongoing Indigenous connections.

Farm animal encounters

Join Farmer Gareth as he introduces you to some of the animals living on the property.

Magic lantern

Create a magic lantern at home and put on a light show for your family and friends!


Make your own butter with this easy recipe that’s also lots of fun!

Choir performance

Enjoy this performance of ‘The letter’ by Samuel Lover, sung by the Sydney Children’s Choir. The sheet music for this song was discovered in the collection at Rouse Hill Estate.

Children's author and poet Harry Laing recites this poem inspired by the magic lantern at Rouse Hill Estate.
