A Victorian childhood

This exhibition took visitors through the childhood world of two very different sisters, through their costumes, dolls, music, writings, books, games and toys.

Born during the 1870s into the affluent world of Australia’s squattocracy, Nina and Kathleen Rouse lived the idealised Victorian childhood, a time of innocence, creativity and play.

An exhibit from the collections of Rouse Hill estate and the Hamilton Rouse Hill Trust.
