Talia Smith is an artist and curator from New Zealand and now based in Sydney, Australia. Her curatorial practice explores notions of time, memory and the land with a particular focus on photography and moving image practices. She has curated exhibitions for Artbank, Artspace Ideas Platform, Cement Fondu among others and in 2021 will be curating a show for the Ballarat Foto Bienniale and UTS Gallery. In 2020 she was awards a two month curatorial residency with Basis in Frankfurt, Germany. Her writing has appeared in VAULT Magazine, Art Almanac, 4A Papers, Running Dog and exhibition catalogues. She just completed her Masters of Fine Arts (Research) at UNSW and currently works as the Curator at Granville Centre Art Gallery.
