Quay Quarter – Neighbourhood life at the city’s heart

As Sydney CBD transforms to become a place that is not just for working, but also for living and playing, Quay Quarter will help show the way to new kinds of city experiences. It is an exemplar for AMP Capital, a global role model for future city neighbourhoods and a place that brings together workers, residents and visitors as friends.

Quay Quarter comprises two city blocks in Circular Quay. Quay Quarter Tower , designed by 3XN is currently under construction by Multiplex, with BVN as lead construction architect. The lobby and Market Hall was designed by London-based Tom Dixon and his Design Research Studio.

Quay Quarter Lanes comprises three new residential/retail buildings and two heritage woolstores which were completed in 2021 by Richard Crookes Constructions. Architects for the Lanes were SJB, Studio Bright, Silvester Fuller, Carter Williamson, Lippman Partnership and ASPECT Studios.

Public art curated for the site by Barbara Flynn includes art by Wiradjuri/Kamilaroi artist Jonathan Jones and by Icelandic-Danish artist Olafur Eliasson.

Precinct Amenity

Quay Quarter creates an energetic city neighbourhood with amenity that supports the lifestyles of our partners and customers, with holistic lifestyle retail, wellbeing and social experiences. Re-imagined laneways, new arcades, plazas and green spaces will encourage socialising and networking.

Quay Quarter Tower enables our customers to attract talented people in a flexible, interactive workplace with large floorplates that are profoundly focused on promoting human interactions to drive business success. The primary workplace is Quay Quarter Tower with its revolutionary design, robust technology platform and high sustainability credentials including over one acre of green space on the development. The 33 Alfred Street building will be reimagined and transformed into a state-of-the-art workplace by 2024.  In Quay Quarter Lanes, 11 Young Street houses three levels of character-filled workplaces on a smaller scale.

Quay Quarter is a destination where people will have exceptional experiences – art and heritage, old and new, welcoming customer service and wellbeing – with smart assisted digital technology enabling people to connect with the buildings, to each other and the neighbourhood.
