The UNESCO World Heritage-listed Hyde Park Barracks is an imposing landmark on historic Macquarie Street. The expansive courtyard surrounding the barracks offers privacy and a unique view of Sydney’s illuminated skyline after dark – a spectacular setting for a cocktail party or sit-down dinner under a marquee.

Staging a special event on this site provides your guests with an iconic cultural heritage experience. Sydney Living Museums is responsible for the protection of the historic fabric of the Hyde Park Barracks building, as well as the collections held inside, so each event proposal is assessed carefully to ensure it is in the long-term interests of the museum and visitors to this internationally significant historic site.

The Hyde Park Barracks Museum welcomes Gold Licensed caterers of the Restaurant & Catering Industry Association of Australia to provide food and beverage services to venue hire bookings.
