Our annual artisan Christmas Fare is back!

 

Sydney Living Museums’ annual Christmas Fare returns to the Hyde Park Barracks on Thursday 15 December with a hand-picked selection of Sydney’s artisan food producers, makers and small-scale retailers.

For one evening only, over 40 of Sydney’s finest food artisans will serve up their delicious baked, pickled, smoked, crafted and poured delights at Sydney Living Museums’ popular Christmas Fare right in the heart of the CBD.

The Christmas Fare celebrates locally made, seasonal and sustainable food hand-crafted by some of the best boutique producers, chefs and urban farmers. Sydneysiders can source all their festive food and gifts on one evening, from premium hand-made produce to hand-crafted artisan wares and fresh blooms.

The market will feature award-winning artisans such as Alto Olives, Pepe Saya, Feather and Bone, Eat Me Chutneys, Olsson’s Salts and popular picklers’ Cornersmith. Treat yourself to an authentic New York bagel from the Brooklyn Boy Bagels, tea blends from T Totaler, traditional Spanish nougat from Los Lacayos Nougat, and amazing charcuterie from Steph’s Gourmet Foods.

There’s delectable cheese by Pecora Dairy, Farmer Jo’s handmade muesli and Arlington’s award-winning handmade dips and pestos, as well as condiments and sauces from Spice Vine and Ding The Recipe. Other traders on hand will include Bilpin Bush Honey, Currong Comestibles and Pukara Estate.

Pick up artisan marshmallows from Black Pantry, single origin chocolates from Cicada Chocolates, or delicious baked treats from Black Star Pastry, Alfamores and Dessertmakers.  Plus find the perfect handcrafted gift from stallholders such as The Nourish Movement, 2 Duck Trading, Rawmix or the CWA Sydney City branch.

Bring your friends to the Young Henrys pop-up bar plus grab a bite to eat from the Barracks’ newly opened Bakehouse café or from one of the premium ready to eat food stalls including The Shuck Truck, Homeland Streetfood, Miss Lilly’s Kitchen, Broomfield’s Pie Co., and Baxter & Bird.

Entry is by gold coin and includes admission to explore inside the World Heritage-listed Hyde Park Barracks Museum. Plus visit Sydney Living Museums’ pop-up retail store for a range of books, toys and games that would make great Christmas gifts.
