Meroogal Women’s Art Prize is back
Entries are now closed.
In 2014 the Meroogal Women’s Art Prize is back. We are relaunching the prize, held every year from 1998 to 2011, and bringing the exhibition to the house. Selected entries to this year’s Arts Prize will be exhibited in the house, garden and grounds of historic Meroogal in Nowra.
Artists are invited to create works in any medium that respond to Meroogal and its sense of place. The works might throw new light on the personal stories of the people who lived there and/or on the rich collection of treasures within the house and grounds.
The Meroogal Women’s Art Prize is a regional, non-acquisitive competition and exhibition. It is open to a work in any medium made by a woman 18 years or over whose principal residence is in NSW. Up to two entries per person are allowed. The entry fee for one artwork is $30, for two artworks, $55.
