Last chance to see Meroogal Women's Art Prize

Meroogal will be open for special extended hours this weekend (Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 January) to celebrate the last weekend of the exhibition in the house.

This means that as well as our usual Saturday hours, Meroogal will also be open on Sunday 25 January, 10.30am – 3.30pm, for guided tours at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.

The Meroogal Women’s Art Prize 2014 exhibition features 39 artworks created by 34 female artists from across the state. Artists were asked to create work in response to Meroogal as a place, its collection, architecture and the rich stories of the people that lived there. The selected works, on display across the house, are from a diverse range of mediums including photography, painting, installation, ceramics, printmaking, video and sound.
