Join the Family Fair fun at Rouse Hill House & Farm
Experience what life would have been like for young Nina and Kathleen Rouse growing up on the farm including playing vintage games, kite flying in the paddock, pony riding along the bush track and attending lessons on posture, manners and nature at the local school house on the original Windsor Road turnpike.
Pack a picnic and come and listen to stories told under the old, fig tree, make your own peg doll, fly boomerangs, help the farmers milk the cows and shear the sheep and marvel at Madame Absynthe on her stilts and The Baron on his penny farthing bike.
Join in the fun of feeding an assortment of animals, identify the chooks in the chicken challenge and meet the vintage rocking horses in the stables. Step inside the time capsule that is Rouse Hill House to see how Nina and Kathleen would have lived.
A free vintage shuttle bus will be available every half hour from Riverstone Station and limited free parking is available in the paddock with entry located off Guntawong Road. There will be limited food choices on offer including a sausage sizzle with the 1st Riverstone Scouts.
The Family Fair is co-presented with the Muru Mittigar Aboriginal & Cultural Education Centre.
