About the building
The Cove Apartments were built in the oldest part of the colonial waterfront of Sydney Harbour, sandwiched between an historic church hall and an eight-storey warehouse, which has water views, along the northern boundary of the site. To ensure views of the harbour for even the lowest Cove apartments, the 40-storey residential tower was built on a four-storey podium that sits between the two existing buildings and extends to 28 metres (90 feet) above street level. The two facades of the podium at street level were designed to complement the scale and texture of the fabric of the surrounding historic buildings.
