One of Harry Seidler’s last projects, the 40-storey Cove Apartments building is a feat of engineering and elegance.

Join Penelope Seidler AM for a rare opportunity to visit her private apartment in the complex. Penelope will share her insights into Harry’s philosophy in designing the space, now decorated with an extraordinary collection of contemporary photography, painting and sculpture. Penelope will also discuss her passion for art and architecture.

Tour participants will have the opportunity to visit some of the building’s communal facilities, such as lounging areas, swimming pool, gymnasium and rooftop BBQ area.

About the building
The Cove Apartments were built in the oldest part of the colonial waterfront of Sydney Harbour, sandwiched between an historic church hall and an eight-storey warehouse, which has water views, along the northern boundary of the site. To ensure views of the harbour for even the lowest Cove apartments, the 40-storey residential tower was built on a four-storey podium that sits between the two existing buildings and extends to 28 metres (90 feet) above street level. The two facades of the podium at street level were designed to complement the scale and texture of the fabric of the surrounding historic buildings.
