Mayhem - Ziegfeld Club's Valentine's Day Cabaret

As the sun goes down, the party heats up at Sydney’s Ziegfeld Club, the hangout of choice for high society and hardened criminals alike. For one night only, the Justice & Police Museum transforms itself into the notorious 1950s Sydney club, known for murder, crime and dangerous liaisons.

Ziegfeld’s infamous cabaret show stars burlesque sensation Diesel Darling, sassy drag queen Maxi Shield and Mother’s Ruin, a gin soaked cabaret from the masterminds behind Lady Sings it Better.

Try your luck in our backdoor gambling den, be amazed by magician and trickster Liam Power, practise your swing dancing moves, have your portrait taken in glorious black and white, learn about the club’s drinking etiquette and even attempt to crack its safe!

Front up in your finest '50s attire, there will be prizes for best dressed! Ticket includes entry to the museum, full program of entertainment and activities, complimentary American-style catering from the cool cats at Nighthawk Diner and a drink on arrival.

Whether you take your Valentine out on the town or find him or her on the dance floor, this will be a night to remember.

Ziegfeld's cabaret show is just one part of the entertainment planned at Mayhem, and will repeat four times over the course of the night.

Guests will be allocated a time slot for the show upon arrival.

The show runs for approx 25mins. Supper will not be served as part of the cabaret show, but will be available throughout the night in the courtyard.

Cash bar available on the night.

Programmed by non-profit company The Festivalists, who bring together artists, unusual spaces and new ideas to create stimulating, interactive cultural experiences.
