El Gran Mono meets Inner West Reggae Disco Machine

The history of the Hyde Park Barracks is steeped in a diverse diaspora who have brought their respective cultural practices to this important site. Join us for a special day-to-night dance party celebrating the sounds of Latin America, the Caribbean and the roots of soundsystem culture, beamed out through two of the most incredible systems in the Southern Hemisphere: El Gran Mono and the mighty Inner West Reggae Disco Machine.

Set in the heart of the city at the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Hyde Park Barracks, this iconic outdoor dance floor features a host of the city’s most loved crews, DJs, MCs, dancers and live acts who fly the flag for Reggae, Dancehall, Cumbia, Salsa Dura, Roots, Highlife, Champeta, Soukous and more. 

The full line-up of performers and MCs comprises:

  • El Gran Mono feat. Cassawarrior, Jolie De Vogue, Carlo Xavier, Emma Peel & MC Oscar Jiménez

  • Inner West Reggae Disco Machine feat. Ibo Jah, Tess Morgan & Chatta Cat, Raices Latinas (Live), 101 Doll Squadron (live dance performance), Foreign Dub Sound, Fever Pitch DJs, Side Room with Hi Care Soundsystem Reinforcement 

  • Mixagi DJs, Bare Necessities DJs, Oxcar and Tropicante, Noisey Neighbour, Foxy Fuzz and Milky Tea.
