For more than 20 years, Wendy Whiteley OAM has worked to create a public garden at the foot of her harbourside home in Sydney’s Lavender Bay.

The story behind the garden, and the events in Wendy’s life that led to its creation, is beautifully portrayed by the highly respected award-winning journalist Janet Hawley in the publication Wendy Whiteley and the Secret Garden (2015).

Join Wendy and Janet for an intimate discussion as they delve into the extraordinary story of how Wendy has slowly transformed an overgrown wasteland into a beautiful sanctuary for everyone to enjoy.

Talk will begin at 6.30pm. Guests are welcome to view the exhibition Bohemian Harbour: Artists of Lavender Bay before the talk from 6pm and after the talk until 8.30pm.
