Going to the Show

Images and memories of Sydney's Royal Easter Show

Commemorating the last shows at the Moore Park showgrounds, this exhibition delved into the very heart of the Royal Easter Show: its history, people, traditions and stories. Going to the Show? also looked to the future as the Royal Agricultural Society approached a watershed in its own history. The redevelopment of the historic Moore Park showgrounds, the show’s home since 1882, and the Royal Easter Show’s move to new facilities at Homebush Bay in 1998 marked the beginning of a new era for the people of NSW, who come together once a year to enjoy this unique public event.

Presented by the Historic Houses Trust of NSW in conjunction with the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW.
